Carnival #1 (48 x 54 in.)

Carnival #1 (48 x 54 in.)

This series represents the many different hues of life, the struggle to break through societal and self-imposed chains, and the striving to reach new heights.

Eight wooden panels were glued and screwed together to make the structure. Then metal chains and washers were glued to the panels and then primed. After this I cover the entire piece with gesso and then start to splatter paint with various painting knives using many different colored high quality oil paints. These pieces have additional interest when lit from different angles as the shadowing provides unique views.
